Volunteer Opportunities

Tasks that use tools:

• Strip discarded items
• Trim, count and bundle Campbell Soup labels
• Type labels
• Trim barcodes & labels for reuse
• Search digital newspaper database
• Sharpen pencils
• Make photocopies
• Water flower beds outside

Tasks that use no tools:

• Shifting books
• Count and package used ink cartridges
• Set up tables and chairs for library programs in the community room
• Clean keyboards and mice
• Clean windows
• Wipe  tables, chairs and workstations
• Pick up litter around library building
• Dust
• Cover books
• Help with used book sale setup and breakdown
• Restock booksale carts
• Refill paper supplies

Tasks that include people contact:

• Tutor patrons on computer use, internet or computerized card catalog
• Assist with library programs
• Monitor teens in the after-school teen program
• Assist with Summer Reading program for ages 5 - 12

Tasks requiring special skills:

• Maintain plants in library
• Use your talent to help with special programs
• Read shelves for proper placement
• Put books and other items back on shelves
• Sort or straighten used book sale
